SALVATION BELONGS TO YHWH
Psalms 27
v1 YHWH is my light and my deliverance; Whom shall I fear? YHWH is the refuge of my life; Whom should I dread?
v2 When the evil-doers come against me to eat up my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they shall stumble and fall.
v3 Though an army encamps against me, My heart does not fear: Though battle comes up against me, Even then I would be trusting.
v4 One matter I asked of YHWH - this I seek: To dwell in the House of YHWH all the days of my life, to seet the pleasantness of YHWH, And to inquire in His Temple.
v5 For in the day of evil He hides me in His booth; in the covering of His Tent He hides me; On a rock He raises me up.
v6 And now my head is lifted up above my enemies all around me; And I offer in His Tent with shouts of joy; I sing, yea, I sing praises to YHWH.
v7 Hear, O YHWH, when I cry with my voice! And show me favour, and answer me.
v8 To my heart You have said, "Seek My Face." Your face, YHWH, I seek .
v9 Do not hide not Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in displeasure; You have been my help; do not leave nor forsake me, O Elohim of my deliverance.
v10 When my father and my mother have forsaken me, Then YHWH does take me in.
v11 Teach me Your way, O YHWH, And lead me in a smooth path, because of mine enemies.
v12 Do not give me over To the desire of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And they breathe out cruelty to me.
v13 What if I had not believed To see the goodness of YHWH in the land of the living.
v14 Wait on YHWH: be strong, And let Him strengthen your heart! Wait, I say, on YHWH!
By definition salvation, physically, is the deliverance or preservation from dangers or physical harms. Spiritual salvation is the deliverance or preservation from sin's consequences.
Salvation is available only in the Master, Yahshua the Messiah. From before the beginning, YHWH predestined a plan of salvation.
The 3rd chapter of Genesis tells of the fall of Adam and Eve, they, for a piece of fruit sold themselves to sin, when they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3
v7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made loin coverings themselves.
They tried to cover their nakedness with fig leaves, but this was not acceptable to
YHWH.
v21 and YHWH Elohim made coats of skins for the man and his wife and dressed them.
Fig leaves could not cover their sin. Blood had to be shed, so YHWH made them coats of skins. covering their sin with their own efforts, no matter how well intentioned, could not satisfy the YHWH's requirements. The animal's blood (life) that was taken was a symbol of YHWH's predestined plan of salvation.
I Peter 1
v16 Because it has been written, "Be ye set apart, for I am set apart."
v17 And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear,
v18 knowing that you were not redeemed from your futile way of life inherited from your fathers, not with what is corruptible, silver or gold,
v19 But with the precious blood of Messiah as of a lamb unblemished and spotless,
v20 foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, but manifested in these last times for your sakes ,
v21 who through Him believe in Elohim who raised Him from the dead and gave Him esteem, so that your belief and expectation are in Elohim.
v22 Now that you have cleansed your lives in obeying the truth through the Spirit to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another fervently with a clean heart,
v23 having been born again - not of corruptible seed, but incorruptible - through the living Word of Elohim, which remains forever.
v24 Because "All flesh is as grass, and all the esteem of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower fails away,
v25 but the Word of Elohim remains forever." And this is the Word, announced as Good News to you.
We have been purchased back from sin by
YHWH not with silver and gold, but by the blood of Yahshua the Messiah.
Understand these things.
Romans 3
v23 For all have sinned and fall short of the Esteem of Elohim.
Admit it.
Romans 6
v23 For the wages of sin is death, but the favourable gift of Elohim is everlasting life Messiah Yahshua our Master.
Death is eternal separation from YHWH. Eternal life is a gift from YHWH, purchased by Yahshua shedding his blood.
Romans 5
v8 But Elohim proves His own love for us, in that, while we were still sinners, Messiah died for us.
Yahshua the Messiah died for you , he knew you before you were.
John 3
v1 And there was a man of the Pharisees, Nicodemus was his name, a ruler of the Jews.
v2 This one came to Yahshua by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from Elohim, for no one is able do these signs You do if Elohim is not with him."
v3 Yahshua answered and said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born from above, he is unable to see the reign of Elohim."
v4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How is a man able to be born when he is old? Is he able to enter into his mother's womb a second time and be born?
v5 Yahshua answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and of the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the reign of Elohim.
v6 "That which has been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit.
v7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You have to be born from above.'
v8 "The Spirit breathes where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone that has born of the Spirit."
v9 Nicodemus answered and said to Him, "How is it possible for this to take place?"
v10 Yahshua answered and said to him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know this?
v11 "Truly, truly, I say to you, We speak what We know and witness what we have seen; and you do not receive Our witness.
v12 "If you do not believe when I spoke to you about earthly matters, how are you going to believe when I speak to you about the heavenly matters?
v13 "And no one has gone up into the heaven except He who came down from the heaven - the Son of Adam.
v14 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so the Son of Adam has to be lifted up,
v15 so that whoever is believing in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.
v16 "For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.
v17 "For Elohim did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
v18 "He who believes in Him is not judged, but he who does not believe is judged already, because he has not believed in the Name of the only brought-forth Son of Elohim.
v19 "And this is the judgement, that light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than light, for their works were wicked.
v20 "For everyone who is practising evil matters hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
v21 "But the one doing the truth comes to the light, that his works are clearly seen, that they have been wrought in Elohim.
Nicodemus knowing that Yahshua came from YHWH sought eternal life. Yahshua answer for him was "you must be born again". It is not possible for man to be born again by his own means. Then how? "Except a man be born of water and the Spirit". Yahshua goes on to say "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again". There is no man that had anything to do with being conceived and born the first time and no man will have anything to do with the second time. It is by YHWH's love and grace alone that anyone can come to know YHWH's salvation. If we could obtain salvation by any means it would negate the truth, that it is a gift fromYHWH. Yes, scripture does say any one that calls on his name will be saved, but where does one get the ability to call on him? Romans chapter 10 holds the answer.
Romans 10
v11 Because the Scripture says, "Whoever puts his trust in Him shall not be put to shame".
v12 Because there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Master of all is rich to all those calling upon Him.
v13 For "everyone who calls on the Name of YHWH shall be saved."
v14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without one proclaiming?
v15 And how shall they proclaim if they are not sent? As it has written, "How pleasant are the feet of those who bring the Good News of the good!"
v16 However not all obeyed the Good News. For Isaiah says, "YHWH, who has believed our report?"
v17 So then belief comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Elohim.
It is only possible to believe on him by faith. Where does faith come from? It comes from hearing YHWH's word. As we hear YHWH's word, faith grows in us which allows us to believe, that we may call on Him for salvation. It is YHWH's word alone that brings salvation.
Jeremiah 23
v29 "Is not My Word like a fire?" declares YHWH, "and like a hammer that shatters a rock?"
Isaiah 55
v11 so is My Word be that goes forth from my mouth - it does not return to Me empty, but shall do what I please, and shall certainly accomplish what I sent it for.
The word of YHWH will break a stony heart, and YHWH's word will accomplish his desires, which is that none should perish.
May the loving Savior, the Master Yahshua, open your ears! Hear the word of YHWH.
